TAMPA -- Florida's First Lady announces that private businesses will be able to join her Hope Florida program. Speaking in Tampa, Casey DeSantis says businesses will be able to offer referrals to jobs and services in the portal for people receiving public assistance. Initial partners include Walgreens and Tampa Electric. Walgreens will also contribute to the Hope Florida Fund and supply Florida nonprofits. TECO plans to offer jobs and contribute $100,000. The Hope Florida care portal use navigators to channel non-governmental aid to parents and families, pregnant women dealing with addiction and children aging out of foster care.
